Terms and Conditions of Sale

ABOUT US

UK Technology Ltd (“UK Technology Ltd”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is a company registered in England and Wales under company number 14570873. Our registered address is at C/O Azets, 33, Park Place, Leeds, West Yorkshire, United Kingdom, LS1 2RY and our VAT number is 431 6119 25.  You can find out more about our products on our website (www.uk‑technology.com) before you order.

OUR CONTRACT

Your order is an offer to UK Technology Ltd to buy the product(s) in your order. When you place an order to purchase a product from UK Technology Ltd, we will send you an e-mail confirming receipt of your order, containing the details of your order (“Order Confirmation E-mail”). The Order Confirmation E-mail is acknowledgement that we have received your order and does not confirm acceptance of your offer to buy the product(s) ordered. We only accept your offer and conclude the contract of sale for a product ordered by you, when we dispatch the product to you and send e-mail confirmation to you that we've dispatched the product to you (“Dispatch Confirmation E-mail”).

Sometimes we reject orders, for example, because a product is unexpectedly out of stock, because you are located outside our delivery areas, as stated on our website, or because the product was mispriced by us. When this happens, we let you know as soon as possible and refund any sums you have paid (if any).

If we have made a mistake and a product's correct price is higher than the price on the website, we may either contact you before dispatch to request whether you want to buy the product at the correct price or cancel your order. If a product's correct price is lower than our stated price, we will charge the lower amount and send you the product.

If your order is dispatched in more than one package, you may receive a separate Dispatch Confirmation E-mail for each package, and each Dispatch Confirmation E-mail and corresponding dispatch will conclude a separate contract of sale between us for the product(s) specified in that Dispatch Confirmation E-mail. Your contract is with UK Technology Ltd.

You consent to receive sales invoices electronically. For each delivery, we will inform you in our Dispatch Confirmation E-mail if an electronic invoice is available. For further information about electronic invoices and instructions on how to receive a paper copy please refer to our help pages on our website.

Please note that we sell products only in quantities which correspond to the typical needs of an average household. This applies both to the number of products ordered within a single order and the placing of several orders for the same product where the individual orders comprise a quantity typical for an average household.

PRICING

The prices of the products are available on our website and are inclusive of legally applicable VAT but exclusive of delivery charges. If the rate of VAT changes between your order date and the date we dispatch the product, we adjust the rate of VAT that you pay, unless you have already paid in full before the change in the rate of VAT takes effect.

We charge you when we dispatch your order and send the Dispatch Confirmation E-mail. You will own it once we have received payment in full. If we're unable to collect any payment you owe us we charge interest on the overdue amount at the rate of 2% a year above the Bank of England base rate from time to time. This interest accrues on a daily basis from the due date until the date of actual payment of the overdue amount, whether before or after judgment. You pay us the interest together with any overdue amount.

PRODUCT INFORMATION

Unless expressly indicated otherwise, UK Technology Ltd is not the manufacturer of the products. Whilst we work to ensure that product information on our website is correct, the colour of a product may not exactly match that shown on your device or packaging may be slightly different.  Please always read labels, warnings and directions provided with the product before use.

We can always change a product to reflect changes in relevant laws and regulatory requirements or to make minor technical adjustments and improvements.  These are changes that don’t affect your use of the product.

DELAY OR NON-PERFORMANCE

If our supply of your product is delayed by an event outside our control, we will contact you as soon as possible to let you know and do what we can to reduce the delay. As long as we do this, we won't compensate you for the delay, but if the delay is likely to be substantial you can contact our Customer Service Team on sales@uk-technology.com to end the contract and receive a refund for any products you have paid for, but not received.

If our performance of the contract as a whole is prevented by an event outside our control, we will contact you as soon as possible and will not compensate you for such non-performance but will end the contract and refund you for any products that you have paid for, but not received.

ORDER CANCELLATION POLICY

You have the legal right to change your mind. If you change your mind about a product you must let us know no later than 14 days after the day we deliver your product.

To let us know that you want to change your mind, contact our Customer Services Team in one of the ways specified under “Returns Policy” or complete the model cancellation form below and email it to us on sales@uk-technology.com or post it to us at The Tannery, 91 Kirkstall Road, Leeds, LS3 1HS.  You will have to return the product to us at your own cost (unless we offered free returns when you bought the products) within 14 days of your telling us that you have changed your mind.

You can send the product back to us using an established delivery service to The Tannery, 91 Kirkstall Road, Leeds, LS3 1HS. If you do this you should keep a receipt or other evidence from the delivery service that proves you have sent it and when you sent it. If you don’t do this and we don’t receive the goods at all or within a reasonable time we won't refund you the price. For help with returns, please contact our Customer Services Team in one of the ways specified under “Returns Policy”.

We only refund standard delivery costs.  We don’t refund any extra you have paid for express delivery or delivery at a particular time (if available).

If you tell us you've changed your mind about a product that hasn't been delivered, we refund you as soon as possible and within 14 days. If you're sending your product back to us, we refund you within 14 days of receiving it (or receiving evidence you've sent it to us). We refund you by the method you used for payment. We don't charge a fee for the refund.

If you handle the product in a way which would not be acceptable in-store, we reduce your refund, to compensate us for its reduced value. For example, we reduce your refund if the product's condition is not "as new", price tags have been removed, the product-branded packaging is damaged or accessories are missing. In some cases, because of the way you have treated the product, no refund may be due. Our Customer Services Team can advise you on whether we’re likely to reduce your refund.

RETURNS POLICY

We honour our legal duty to provide you with products that are as described to you on our website and that meet all the requirements imposed by law. If you think there is something wrong with your product you can let us know in one of two ways. In the first instance contact us either via our contact form detailed on our website www.uk-technology.com or email us at sales@uk-technology.com.

When contacting us please explain the problem and indicate if you would prefer us to replace the item or process a refund. Additionally, where possible please take a picture highlighting the problem and include this when contacting us.

Once we confirm that there is something wrong with your product, we will email you a pre-paid return sticker and you must return the defective or misdescribed products to us.

We will send you automatic updates and notifications throughout the return process.

WARRANTY PERIOD

If there is an obvious fault with any item you purchase from us at any time within the first 12 months from purchase and it has not been caused by wear and tear or misuse, then we will repair or replace the item.  This does not affect your statutory rights.

Please follow the procedure detailed within the returns policy to return an item to us.

STATUTORY KEY LEGAL RIGHTS

The Consumer Rights Act 2015 says goods must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. During the expected lifespan of your product your legal rights entitle you to the following:

Up to 30 days: if your goods are faulty, then you can get a refund.

Up to six months: if your goods can't be repaired or replaced, then you're entitled to a full refund, in most cases.

Up to six years: if your goods do not last a reasonable length of time you may be entitled to some money back.

USE OF PRODUCTS

Unless agreed in writing all the products/goods we offer for sale are for use in the home or home-office environment.

All goods must be used only in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions as any alterations made to the physical product or software supplied will invalidate the warranty provided under “Warranty Period” and may otherwise affect your right to a refund or repair.

If you live in Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring claims against us in the courts of the country you live in. We can claim against you in the courts of the country you live in.
